Click Fraud

An example of click fraud is when a unscrupulous company will have their people click on a competitor's Google PPC AdWords or AdSense.

Not only do these 'clicks' eat into their competitors advertising and marketing budgets, but give a false indication of the success of their e-marketing campaigns.

Fraudulent clicks are also known as 'bad clicks', 'false clicks' and 'invalid clicks'. Some good news is that highly advanced software is available that can generate detailed reports on the clicks that you're paying for.

If the reports show that click fraud has taken place, you can forward them on to Overture or Google, for instance, and request a refund.
