high search engine ranking link exchange program

FFA Pages

It wasn't uncommon for FFA pages to carry a finite number of links, with older links 'dropping off'. FFA pages were successful in attracting traffic to websites and were perceived as an added value service.

They were also known to boost search engine page rankings.

However, the popularity of FFA pages waned with the introduction of 'spam' where FFA pages starting filling up with junk. In addition, software became available that, for a fee, would automatically disseminate your links to thousands of online FFA pages.

As a result, due to the high volume of links being sent out, website links often remained on an FFA page for just a couple of seconds.

This 'over saturation' resulted in the decline of FFA pages, particularly when the search engines stopped ranking them.
