|   | | The secret to successful niche marketing is to select a market that is not
overly competitive and not yet saturated.
In other words, it is pointless to niche market to a segment that is already
overflowing with 'niche' websites. You will have an uphill battle on your hands
and find it hard to make any real progress.
A good example of this is are 'free font' sites. Type free fonts into Google and
notice how many sites come up. Literally thousands!
Why waste your valuable time and effort trying to 'elbow' your way into an
already over-crowded, over-saturated industry?
A better idea would be to perhaps develop a site dedicated to 'The Largest
Selection of FREE Web Dings and nothing else' and, in this way, target a niche
within a niche.
In this way you are not putting everything on the line hoping for a 'piece of
the pie', but concentrating instead on definitely getting a 'smaller slice of
the pie'.
